Session 10
In this session, we discussed the challenges of making decisions collectively and how to nurture collective innovation. We explored the possibilities of not needing voting mechanisms or rules and sanctions and how we have arrived at certain insights through our working groups and have a governance structure with few constraints. Ilan: After 10 you can only use the pencil. That would effectively halt drawing because people would end up drawing less so they could avoid the 10th dot in order to keep on using all the tools.
Barbara: In hardcore mode you need to stay really aware of the present, interesting way to be in the draw mode, let’s try some hardcore conversations.
Judy: Interesting. Maybe it could be a choice.
Ilan: A choice for sure. But as @barbara is saying, we can practice that without the technical imposition. Just that there is no way of indicating that is what is happening other than us stating that.
Barbara: And involve trust

Ilan: I pledge allegiance to the undo.
Lenara: and live with it.

Sparrow: In life there is no undo button.

Barbara: If it’s a choice then you have to trust on who answers drawings… Possible also that it is not clear if you do not read titles or explanations, to me it happens sometimes 😁 sorry… When I see exactly what I want to draw as an answer happens… So also to have as an option can be good.
Judy: The undo could be a toggle button that you can switch on or off. Playful.

Ilan: The system itself is a kind of troll. so it obviates trolling within it.
Judy: Indeed.
Ilan: I should have framed that as a question.
Judy: It is a categorical assertion now

Lenara: Today I saw a dick scribble on the wall and immediately reminded me of the DADA troll strategy. Don’t drop in a tuxedo.
