Announcing our biggest live drawing performance yet
DADA at Late at Tate
Tate Modern, London.
Blavatnik Building, Level 6.
Friday, November 29, 2019
From 6 pm to 10 pm.
DADA will stage an interactive live art performance inspired by the Nam June Paik retrospective at the Tate Modern. We’ll create a visual conversation with the theme:
Screens: An Exploration.
Beatriz, local artist Ophelia Fu and DADA artist Ilan Katin will be on hand onsite to lead the live drawing with the audience on Wacom tablets. 13 artists will lead the online performance live in a video streaming and share their screens from wherever they are in the world. Throughout the evening, DADA artists will act as the hosts and respond directly to the audience’s drawings.
And our drawing robot DADAGAN will generate the very first drawing to get things going.
Join in the drawing at dada.art from 6 pm to 10 pm, London time.

In Anne’s words:
We want people to be impressed by the caliber of work and realize the commercial nature is equal to that of ‘traditional’ contemporary art they’re accustomed to viewing. Highlighting the global, inclusive, diverse elements of DADA is important.
Serena Tabacchi:
Since I am well familiar with the Tate collection, my selection reflects the art in the gallery with similar work on display as well as work that has never been seen at Tate before, which I assume will provoke good thoughts and conversations in the room.
The Event
DADA will be part of a program called Random Access, which will also feature a panel discussing ART TECH FUTURES in conversation with Global Roots and our good friends from MoCDA at 6:45 pm. MoCDA will present video art from Robbie Barrat. And there will be talks by Dr. Holly Rogers and performance and sound artist Rebekah Ubuntu.
Listen to the preview show on Worldwide FM Friday, November 29 from 15–18h live from the Blavatnik Building.
It’s going to be an extraordinary night of art, performance, talks, and music.
