PBS News Hour explores art on the blockchain

Conversation on Art & Science at dada.art

Science correspondent Miles O’Brien and his team bravely leaped where many fear to tread and created an illuminating segment on how blockchain will revolutionize art. Our cofounder Judy Mam was interviewed, as well as our good friends Matt Hall and John Watkinson, creators of the Cryptopunks, and Jackie O’Neill from Blockchain Art Collective. Our partners Artory were also featured.

One of the biggest challenges for the blockchain art space is getting into the mainstream. Many artists and technologists in our community are excited about the broadcast for this reason; it will be very positive for our entire community. At DADA, are already seeing the impact in the new artists we’ve been welcoming since the broadcast and the dramatic spike in sign ups.

Soon buying art on the blockchain will be as easy and ubiquitous as everything we do online — and artists will finally catch a break.
